Upcoming Events - Day "Drawing" Near
SATURDAY 12 MAY 2012, 10am-4pm
Demonstrations of different drawing techniques.
Visitors will have the opportunity to try their hand at drawing, using a variety of materials and techniques: graphite pencil, pen, watercolour pencils, oil pastels, charcoal, metallic oil pastels.
The success of a drawing comes from careful observation of the subject, and then the transfer onto a flat surface using the material of choice. Creating the illusion of depth is exciting, while some drawings go in different directions, towards abstract or expression.
The painting "Night Beach" (above right) has been published by Suzanne W. Bates in the US
in her book entitled "Red Rock Rainbow".
